FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
What happens if the curent Covid 19 Pandemic affects my wedding date?Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic I fully appreciate that there might be last minute changes to anything agreed and wedding arrangements could be shortened, limited, or regrettably postponed. During this time I aim to be as flexible as I can be to ease the worry around this. In the event that your wedding day has to be cancelled due to National lockdowns or Covid 19 enforced restrictions I aim to be as flexible as I can be with your new dates if I am available. However there maybe the unfortunate occasion where I may not be able to attend due to other previously made wedding bookings. In this case a full refund of your deposit will be available to you.

What is your wedding photography style? My focus is on journalistic style of photography.I aim to highlight the genuine laughter, tears, and passion that you and your guests will be feeling without my heavy involvement or direction. I believe my job is to capture that magic of the day in the most authentic way - unobtrusively, honestly and joyfully. I prefer events to unfold naturally and aim to document your day as discreetly as possible. My aim is for you to barely notice your photograph is being taken at the time.

Do you do family and group shots?Absolutely. I still maintain aspects of traditional wedding photography and group shots are always included. Not every couple wants family or group shots which is absolutely fine but the majority still do and are an important part of the day. Even if it is just for family or keepsakes for grandparents to remind them of the day. I do try and limit the group shots where possible, to keep these quick and efficent for you. I always prefer you to enjoy the day and would rather I didn't take away much of your time to be with your friends and family. For couples photos I usually like to have 10-15mins alone with the bride and groom away from the crowds. This way we can get some lovely, elegant and relaxed couples portraits without everyone watching. At the end of this session, I try and give you a few minutes of private time to catch your breath. A wedding day can be a whirlwind of energy and it is nice to actually have a few moments to yourself. After the couples photos is usually a great opportunity to pause and reflect together quietly.

How far do you travel to weddingsAlthough I am based in the North West of England and predominantly cover the Cheshire and Greater Manchester areas, I will travel as far as I am needed. However please be aware that there will be additional costs for travel on top of your selected wedding package. If am I needed to travel further than 70 miles I ask for a nights accommodation the day before the wedding to ensure I arrive without traffic delays and with a fresh set of eyes and legs. I am available for destination weddings abroad too, having recently travelled to Ibiza to shoot a wedding. I am happy to travel anywhere in the world.

We are interested in booking you, what should we do next?"If you like what I do and would like to make a booking with me please feel free to get in touch via the contact form on this site or via any of my social media channels. I will try and get back to you as quickly as I can. The next steps; If you are based in the North West of England I will aim to have a free consultation with you face to face to discuss your wedding day and talk through the details. If you are based further afield and this is not practical, I like to conduct the consultation over a web cam chat via Skype or other available apps of your choice. I like to do the consultations for several reasons. The first is that it is nice for us to meet and discuss the plans for your special day together and meet before your wedding day. Weddings are extremely personal events and I treat photographing it for you as such. The second reason is that I taylor each day to the bride and grooms tastes. Every wedding I shoot is bespoke to each particular couple and by meeting you personally it helps me get a better understanding of who you are, what you like and what the plans for your day are.
